Trinity United Reformed Church, St Albans

Trinity’s organ

First, a bit of history. In 1981, Trinity was gutted by fire. The organist at the time, Peter Holt, commissioned a new organ from Copeman Hart. It was in regular use until August 2008, when it was sent back to Copeman Hart to be digitised. Ernest Hart then spent four days at Trinity voicing the newly digitised organ. The organ was first played at Trinity on Sunday 31st August 2008 by Peter Holt, who returned especially to play it.

Here is the organ when it was being sent away…..

And this is how it looks inside now it has been digitised!
